Hue Are You – Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Hue Are You (“the App”) is operated by Unfiltered Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Email address — collected when you create an account or link an anonymous session to a registered account
- First name — collected optionally during account setup
- Photos — selfie images you submit for color analysis. Images are processed by our AI analysis service and are not permanently stored on our servers after analysis is complete.
Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous user identifier — assigned automatically when you first open the App
- Usage data — features accessed, screens viewed, consultation history, credit balance
- Device information — device type, operating system version, app version, crash data
- Performance data — app stability metrics and error reports
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the App’s core features (color season analysis, consultation history)
- Process and fulfill in-app purchases and credit transactions
- Deliver your analysis results via email if you request it
- Maintain and improve App performance and stability
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Respond to customer support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Photos and AI Analysis
When you submit a photo for color analysis:
- Your image is transmitted securely to our AI analysis provider (AIProxy / Anthropic Claude) for processing
- The image is used solely to generate your color season analysis
- Images are not stored permanently by us or our AI provider after the analysis is returned
- Analysis results (your color season, palette, and prose description) are stored in your account history
We recommend submitting photos in a natural, well-lit environment. Do not submit photos of minors.

6. Data Retention
- Consultation history: Stored for 1 year from the date of analysis, then automatically deleted
- Account data (name, email): Retained while your account is active
- Anonymous sessions: Retained until you create an account, delete the app, or request deletion
- Crash and analytics data: Retained per Firebase/Google’s standard retention policies (typically 14–90 days)
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to revoke consent by deleting the App.
To request deletion or a data export, contact us at: privacy@unfilteredlabs.io. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Data Security
We use encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Security Rules scoped to authenticated account owners, and App Check to prevent unauthorized API access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact privacy@unfilteredlabs.io if you believe a child has provided us with personal information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
